Profile

TheDepartment of Historyis a part of B.A Program (H.E.P)&(THP) was started from the inception of the college,that is, in 1984 with a noble intention of creating awareness about the importance of studying history.  It was served by stalwarts like Sri A Venkata Ramaiah, Sri  K Naga Bhusana, Sri  M Ranga Reddy,  Sri K Ravindra,  Sri  B Naga Bhusanam and others.  The department has always been in the forefront in inculcating patriotic fervor and cultural ethos by highlighting prominent historical themes.

• To create passion among the students for understanding the past and enable them gain better learning of the present-day society

• To equip students to face competitive examinations confidently
• To enrich students’ understanding of recent historical trends
• To utilize history as a tool in shaping the over-all personality of the student community
